As a funded CoE site, an important part of our mission is to serve as a resource for local, state, and federal public health professionals who respond to foodborne illness outbreaks. We can provide training, assistance, or technical support for epidemiology, laboratory, and environmental health.
We are open to your ideas of how we can best serve as a resource for you, and will tailor our services to meet your needs.
We can help with formal in-person trainings, a quick question via phone call/email, or anything in between!
Examples of how we can work together:
- Tailored trainings
- Discuss surveillance issues
- Informal real-time outbreak consultation
- Discuss lab testing methods (CIDT, WGS)
- Survey design and data analysis approaches
- Help with outbreaks of unexplained etiology
- New or different epi methods (i.e. binomial model, transaction records, online orders, ingredient-specific case control studies)
- Anything else you need!
“Instructors were very good, length of training was good – very interactive”.
– Participant in a 2019 training (via evaluation)
"Everyone has said that the training was extremely helpful and that they greatly enjoyed how the material was presented and discussed.”
